I will never have a "hot" style. Everything will always look sort of "cute."
I guess I'm okay with that. I can make it work.
I just have to come to terms with that fact, lol.

For the record, I graduated Magna Cum Laude. Only one with honors in my department, too. That was neat. (There were only 4 of us, lol.)

GRADUATION IS IN SIGHT.

I messed around with designs for nove_arghpoots's PLANET THING :O I have fun coming up with random characters :D And this? Very random. Meet Venus. It's possible she's blind in her "normal" eyes.


Meet Venus's regular clap-trap violin, Callisto! They communicate via bluetooth. I'm gonna make this a finished picture.

You know what sucks?

When you work on the same thing day after day, only for it not to seem to be moving any nearer towards completion.

That sucks.

Case in point: Snaga's commission, and my portfolio stuff. Portfolio moreso. Sorry, Snaga, so sorry.

Two things you could help me with, and I'll love you forever:

(1) Scrolling content areas in Flash (that resemble iframes but, of course, aren't)
(2) Pop-up image code where the background dims to dark grey, as is on Smash Bros. DOJO!! and Concept Art.org

Those would help me a whole lot.

In other news, I recently realized that both my computer monitors (the Powerbook and the Compaq desktop) are ass. I always knew this about my Powerbook and am not sure how to fix it (as macs naturally wash colors the hell out) since I already calibrated it so much, but my PC shouldn't be as bad as it is. I think the blue theme might be throwing everything off, too. But I don't want everything to be 50% grey soooo... hmm.

Yet another thing for Portfolio. Will probably end up looking very different in the end.

lol watch me salvage my sanity by integrating anything with everything.

Right now I'm catching up on portfolio and totally not playing Brawl for 5 hours per day average.

Yet the following has nothing to do with Portfolio. (Mostly.)



I'm having troubles deciding on colors for this. Namely Yu's jacket. I thought it'd be green originally (his favorite color, most of what he wears is green), but then I tried purple 'cause I thought green wouldn't work. Hmm. The BG is going to be this cloudy snowy sort of thing that fades up in the corner. (I did lighten the flat base a little on the second one.) For the jacket, I'm also thinking grey, spring green, and sky blue could work, but blue is too much blue and grey is for my other pic.

Oh yeah, Yu has a mole now. Because none of my characters have moles...until now. Gotta go back and fix a few pictures/pages.

Also, if you hadn't noticed, I posted a big fat animation post a while back that goes commentless still. I find that odd, 'cause we were on a good commenting streak. But don't worry, I still love you.

I don't like reneging on offers, but I won't be able to do anyone's website for my portfolio, since

(1) my own website will be a web design for it (lol, I forgot)

(2) it's not serious/corporate enough. (This is actually why I was waiting for my teacher to email me back, but his email was down all weekend. Corporate websites, for the sake of this course, are more likely to be seen be art directors and have them consider what I can do for them. And I can do that, perhaps even easier.)

Since I don't like reneging, I will help both Nove and Klobber with your sites...after graduation. @_@ Because I'm still v. interested in helping both of you. As for Izzy, I think I can give you the couple of ideas I came up with yesterday and steer you in the right direction.

Yay!

As for now, however, I have to come up with websites based on my fake kids' 100% fruit drink, CHAMELEON, and redo some Flash MAYBE AUGH.

Of course we know Hot Topic is full of it.

Random: I know the tag cloud to the right says FANART is the thing I do most here, but really most of it was giftart for webcomics (which I consider series enough). I should get my tags straight. People might come here looking for HARRER POTTY or Megaman X or something.

That means I'll make it as nice-looking as I physically can without asking you for money, 'cause I need at least one web project in my portfolio.

Note 1: I may integrate some simple Flash, since I also need some Flash in my portfolio.
Note 2: I need to start the thumbnails before Tuesday, and will probably have it 90% done in two weeks. (I still need to catch up on my other portfolio stuff, but that's for the end of the semester.)

EDIT: Note 3: I may do two websites, since I have two projects of the same nature in a row.
BUT I might not, because I do want one purely-animation Flash in my portfolio, and although all my animations will take a long time to refine, it'd be worth my while.

I am pretty excited about Mil's new page. I should be excited every once in a while!

Also, I in-betweened 10 of my storyboards today. That's my other big accomplishment! Now only 25 left. This should have been done two weeks ago... but I'm not taking animation for credit, so no phail for me! :D
