Hey guys.
How are you?
I've been really out of everything lately, aside the problems of my stupid country, (and those of my comp) so in short, I hope everything's fine with you.
I hope nobody chose Italy as a holiday idea. There's nothing here anymore, aside dictators, thieves and trash (lots of it, actually) and locals for people with big $( uhm...maybe thieves and dictators?), who generally don't give a shit about anything else aside drinking 3000$ bottles of wine (each) and spending the night with professional whores.
What? The art, you say? the landscapes? Hahaha.
Forget it.
There's less and less of that, and it's another slap in the face we don't even have un-corrupted architects anymore, so everything is turning into some square, ugly blocks of concrete. We can't even pray for some kind of blade runner scenario, because really, all that matters here is money, quick and dirt, for heaven's sake. Beauty or innovation in every field are like concepts belonging to asylums.
Try tell someone 'well, but you can't ruin the landscape/seascape/whatever by building that horror there. it ruins its beauty' and see what you get. Lols, for the most part, weird and dangerous looks, sometimes.
Oh yes, you don't have faith in the country and in the GOVERNMENT. Exactly. If you have, I pity you from the bottom of my heart. Which is really an euphemism for 'I'd like to smash your face into tiny, tiny little bits'.
Anyway.
My computer is being 'reconfigured' (?) right now, so I finally sat down to rearrange my comic and whatsnot. As soon as I'll reach ten pages I'll try a print test, because I changed pens and brush as I'm looking for textures/sketchiness and while the pages look great here I'm positive there will be issues with the remote printer, and I don't want to re-edit a bunch of pages *after* they'll become print-ready.
( I have 2 pages here in case someone's wondering )No idea if he's writing or drawing in there. Maybe he's writing a diary on behalf of one of his mannequins. No really. I tried to follow a script at least for the prologue but it didn't work out.
Ah well, no big deal. I can always look to what I already drew for directions. However I want to widen the story some more, while I'm at it. The life in the city, how it's run, etc.
I'm just very happy that the ink doesn't come out as clean or perfect. Yes! haha.
I still don't know if I want to have screentones, and what kind of background style I want to stick to. Or better: after a lot of time I'm sure what kind of stuff I want to achieve and how to, and yet I'm not sure it's going to fit the story. I'll blame it to the leap year alright.
Death to the leap years.
