EXPLORE
So, my illustrated Advertising final. Designed a mascot for the Adventure Science Center (<3), since it came off as a place that needed one.

Adventure Science Center

"There’s a whole, wide galaxy out there that you didn’t know about. It’s called the Milky Way, and the Adventure Science Center is bringing it closer to you with the Sudekum Planetarium in summer of 2008. Falling stars, humongous planets, and mesmerizing nebulae will never seem closer, so keep your eyes to the sky and get ready to explore.
And you thought this was just boring science.
Come explore the Adventure Science Center with your parents today!"

Dil Dilophosaurus: new mascot!

the rest -[2]- )

The head honchos at the center liked this a lot. I'm glad. (We also reminisced about the old things at the center...fun times.)

I won the class Big Brain Award for this (it's a miniature pose mannequin that the "winner" of each project can alter in any way they like, which had been made into the Daddy Award by its previous winner, because the design awards are called Addys, our teacher's name is Dale Addy, and his email is "Daddy"...yes XD), which made me very happy, because I worked hard (but didn't crush my soul for once) on this, and I wanted to win it. e__e` My concept has many expansion possibilities, yay! (The award's slightly different from what Sarah H. had done to it; she'd redone the stand so it looked like a microphone stand sort of)
What made me happiest is that my teacher said they were ready to go to press tomorrow... which is funny, 'cause I found a typo in one of them when I got home (since fixed). But that was like...yay!

That day the class also snatched a ton of source books from him, because he has tons apparently. I can't wait until I can afford to get into a source book. (The only "anime" style thing I saw in one of the source books looked awful, though... "adn it had sp33ch bubbles tht were litrly typed liek this" and I couldn't tell if it was a joke or not, holy crap how could they afford it, not even quality---) They're inspiring to look through. I didn't get any of the cool photography ones though.

I wanted to post my other two Advertising projects that I haven't, but there's stuff I should fix/redo first. For example, someone thought this soybean pod looked like a green banana. A BANANA? I can understand peas and stuff, but... Read the copy. (Yes, I haven't posted the ones with copy yet. I'll do that after the fixing.) Of course, my copy could use some rearranging and strength, too.

Anyway, later on I'm going to post my concepts for other mascots here.

fruit and soy...together again
Does anyone know how to export GIFs out of Flash 8 without having the animation look like pure ass?
I have not yet found out how.

Oh yes, have a picture.

Fruit and Soy...FOREVER
This is something for Advertising.
Fruit and Soy. 2GETHER 4EVER

I should mention that I finally fixed something bugging me about my Flash portfolio site, and it finally looks perfectly right, although now it's a bit out of date after a year of being lazy. When I redesign Ai this will look better in relation to it (they won't be the same but they will look related). Oh crap, I just noticed a small trouble I didn't see on the mac. Crap. Anyway, looks better now. Also took the links off of it, since that was pointless, and I couldn't fit all my favorite sites anyway.

Some things to show I'm still live.

Slightly large print ad for Advertising )

For Jennadelle
For a doodletrade for [info]jennadelle, to be finished sometime soon when it's not 3 AM.

Kusari
And this and this.
Some quick crap for yet another comic concept, YES ANOTHER ONE. You know why I don't want to handle the others while I'm redoing Millennium, too? Worldbuilding! I make up whole new worlds for all these concepts, comics and novels, and it's too much! But this new one, it takes place on Earth. There's just character focus, new locations, and situation building! That's all! Ah, so much better!
Anyway, I'm not saying more about it. Posting sketches, yes, but not saying. I really like what I've come up with, though. (Isn't that always the case?)

My colored Inverloch contest entry made it to be featured on the site, yay! My SoG entry was also strongly considered. I'm glad. I had fun with those. And now I withdraw from contests for the next oh, year... unless I spontaneously join something at ConceptArt, and I need to.

Still need to do the failed-comics post thing.

Logogogogogo
Instead of giving you the WIP of my next Flash (since it'll be done by Wednesday anyway), you get: watermarked logo design!

Also:

Contest prize for Blix? The contest was like 5 months ago, but I just now got it done, lol. Anatomy's wonky as hell but I like it all the same.

And I completed my biggest commissions from September. Whew. Now if I just tie together a few other things...

Holy crap a post
I think I'd be working, drawing, and doing more in general if it wasn't for all this reading I have to do this semester. Taking Psychology was a great idea. :B I'm trying to fill up my character design book, but it's like all the inspiration is being siphoned out of me. Gaming and reading novels are officially like luxuries, which sucks, because cross-examination in Phoenix Wright now takes forever. (And so does writing. GAH. All of a sudden - 7 hours!)

This is for web class (for a mock-layout). This is quickly done. Hmm, I should do more quickly done things like this, with cooler subject matter... (which is why I bought my chara design book. D'oh.) Could have better done that back leg.

This is Nimue from Redemption. I've been wanting to draw her for a very long time. She's in a random outfit. I'm going to ink this sometime - I've been needing more linearts.
I think I'm only just now realizing how much I achingly miss Negshin and her comic. Usually I do well when people go on hiatus (considering I've also been horribly slow these past months, but I also do well with people on "vacation") but it's been so long now. *weeps*

It's Azki for LDLK's layout. WIP. I figured that if I can at least set up the site, I might get rolling with the comic. Good news: I don't dislike the first four pages yet (drew them several months ago). Yay! I might still redo P1's first panel, though. Anyway, must also do slight leg-placement-related adjustments.
I don't know how I manage to make such an effeminate person still resemble a young man.

Also: Bunnygirl Haruko for Dan. A WIP.

In other news, I'm going to be part of a personal writing critique forum soon, and it's like every dream of mine ever come true (for writing). I'm at 91,000 words in Phoenix Born and at that point where I really am loving my characters and this new world and everything, which I'm glad for, because I was afraid I wouldn't.
I have about 3 fairly developed fantasy worlds that share traits but also stongly diverge from each other in ways. It's confusingly fun! I did admittedly steal a couple Millennium ideas I liked to put them in Phoenix because it would come off cooler. ()

Random: Coming up with tavern names with your parents is fun. We find out that the Laughing Lizard and the Blue Iguana are already bars!

And now for more important things! ...Argh college!
